How to Make the Recipe

Now, let’s get cooking! Follow these simple steps to create your Garlic Butter Meatball Pasta:

Step 1: Make the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—don’t overwork it! Form the mixture into 1-inch balls (you should get about 20–24 meatballs). Set them aside.

Step 2: Sear the Meatballs

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and brown them on all sides (about 6–8 minutes total). Once browned, remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Garlic Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Add the butter, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice and parsley. Return the meatballs to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let them simmer on low for 5–7 minutes until cooked through.

Step 4: Make the Pasta

While the meatballs are simmering, cook the linguine according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter, then add the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan until melted. If the sauce is too thick, thin it with the reserved pasta water. Season with salt and pepper. Toss the cooked linguine in the sauce until well coated.

Step 5: Plate and Serve

Serve the meatballs over a bed of creamy linguine. Drizzle with extra garlic butter from the pan and garnish with more parsley and Parmesan. Enjoy your delicious dinner for 2 or more!

Pro Tips for Making the Recipe

Here are some of my favorite tips to ensure your meal turns out perfectly:

  • Don’t overmix the meatball mixture; this keeps them tender.
  • Feel free to add your favorite herbs or spices to the meatballs for extra flavor.
  • If you like a little heat, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • Reserve more pasta water if you prefer a thinner sauce.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with chicken broth.

How to Serve

This Garlic Butter Meatballs and Noodles dish is perfect on its own, but you can also serve it with:

  • A fresh garden salad for a refreshing crunch.
  • Garlic bread to soak up that delicious sauce.
  • Steamed vegetables for a healthy side.
