Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 400 g lean minced beef
  • 1 unit onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 unit carrot, finely diced
  • 1 stalk celery, finely diced
  • 1 unit red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 400 g canned chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 150 ml beef stock
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 300 g spaghetti
  • for garnish Fresh basil leaves

Method
 

  1. Brown the minced beef in a skillet until cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add vegetables and sauté until softened, then stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, stock, herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 30-40 minutes.
  3. Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain.
  4. Serve sauce over spaghetti, garnished with basil leaves.

Notes

You can add a splash of red wine for extra flavor or serve with a side salad.
