  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet -
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce -
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar -
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup salted butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Bring the salmon to room temperature and preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place salmon skin-side down in a baking dish, brush with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lemon juice, butter, salt, and pepper in a saucepan; heat until melted and smooth.
  4. Pour sauce over salmon, cover with foil, and bake for 10–25 minutes. Broil uncovered for 2–3 minutes for caramelization.
  5. Rest briefly, then serve with extra sauce and garnish as desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped green onions or herbs before serving.
