Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles
Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef
Cheese
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Sauce
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
Other
  • 1 egg egg
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles and prepare meat sauce.
  2. Mix ricotta, egg, and Parmesan. Layer sauce, noodles, cheeses, and meat in a baking dish.
  3. Repeat layers, top with remaining cheese. Cover and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
  4. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the lasagna rest before serving.
