Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles, then set aside.
- Cook onion and garlic in olive oil, add beef and brown. Mix in tomatoes, paste, herbs, salt, and pepper; simmer 30 mins.
- Mix ricotta, egg, and salt. Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta, and cheese in baking dish. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining cheese, cover with foil, bake 25 mins. Remove foil, bake 25 mins more until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool 15 mins before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, let the lasagna rest before serving.
