Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 bag frozen hash browns 30 oz
  • 1 each onion diced
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional toppings: turkey bacon bits, green onions, additional cheese, sour cream

Method
 

  1. Combine hash browns, onion, broth, and cream of chicken soup in the crockpot.
  2. Stir well, cover, and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  3. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in milk, cheese, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook until cheese melts and soup is heated through, then serve with optional toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, top with green onions or sour cream.
