  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Your favorite seasonings (e.g., paprika, onion powder, Italian seasoning) Optional

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour chicken broth over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and any other desired seasonings.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is easily shredded with a fork.
  5. Remove chicken from crockpot and shred with two forks.
  6. Return shredded chicken to the crockpot and mix with the remaining juices.
  7. Serve as desired (e.g., in tacos, sandwiches, salads).

Notes

For extra flavor, try browning the chicken breasts in a skillet before adding them to the crockpot.
