Method
- Grate the cucumber using a box grater.
- Squeeze excess water from cucumber.
- Combine yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Add the chopped fresh dill.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir all ingredients together.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Stir before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve chilled.
Notes
For a thicker tzatziki, use full-fat Greek yogurt and ensure the cucumber is thoroughly drained.
