Ingredients
  

Ravioli
  • 1 pound Ravioli (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 can 14 oz Tomatoes (diced or crushed; canned works great)
  • 0.5 cup Cream (heavy cream, half-and-half, or cooking cream)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (freshly minced for best flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan or another hard cheese for melting into the sauce
  • optional fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a pan and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, and herbs, then simmer to reduce.
  3. Stir in cream gradually until smooth, then add grated cheese and melt.
  4. Cook ravioli according to package instructions, then drain.
  5. Toss ravioli into the sauce, coat well, and serve with extra cheese and herbs.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for a brighter flavor and adjust seasoning to taste.
