  • 1 pound spaghetti
Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground beef
Breadcrumbs and Cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Sauce
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
Olive oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  3. Brown meatballs in olive oil, then transfer to a baking dish with marinara sauce. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain.
  5. Serve spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce, garnished with Parmesan and parsley if desired.

Notes

Use fresh parsley for best flavor and consider adding extra Parmesan on top before serving.
