Method
- Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Sauté shrimp in olive oil with salt and pepper until pink, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic, then add broth and cream, simmering briefly.
- Whisk in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce, tossing to coat. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil or parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
