  • 2 can apple pie filling
Box
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
Caramel sauce
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
Butter
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Chopped nuts
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts (optional) optional
Vanilla ice cream
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional) optional

Method
 

  1. Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray. Pour apple filling into the slow cooker.
  2. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apples. Mix cake mix with cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
  3. Pour melted butter evenly over the top. Add nuts if using. Cover and cook on low 3-4 hours or high 1.5-2 hours.
  4. Serve warm with remaining caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream if desired.
