Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound meat (beef, chicken, or turkey), cut into chunks
Broth
  • 4 cups broth (chicken, beef, or vegetable)
Vegetables
  • 3 diced carrots
  • 2 diced potatoes
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
Canned Goods
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
Green Beans
  • 1 cup green beans, trimmed and chopped
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Optional
  • 1 cup corn, frozen or fresh

Method
 

  1. Place the meat in the slow cooker.
  2. Add vegetables, broth, tomatoes, and seasonings.
  3. Stir gently, cover, and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Adjust seasoning, then serve hot.
