Ingredients
  

Canned Goods
  • 42 oz apple pie filling
  • 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • to taste vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Method
 

  1. Spray crockpot with cooking spray and add apple filling, spreading evenly.
  2. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apples.
  3. Mix cake mix and cinnamon, then sprinkle over apples.
  4. Pour melted butter over the top and drizzle remaining caramel. Add nuts if desired.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours until set.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or serve with whipped cream.
