- Combine tomatoes, onion, carrots, garlic, tomato puree, and broth in the crockpot. Stir in basil, salt, and pepper.
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
- Blend until smooth, then stir in heavy cream. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
For a thicker soup, blend more thoroughly or add a bit of bread.
